First we went over the "7 Deadly Camera Sins" (can be found at this site)
The we went up to Historic Main Street, and each student had to shoot 10 shots of the street, keeping in mind all of the things that they were going to work on for the day (based on the conversation we had Monday). We alternated photographer (5 shots each, then switch) and covered buildings, signs, and the road itself.
We then went back to the station and I showed them how to use the in-house camera gear because they then became the camera operators for the "live to tape" Kitchen show with a live chef for a segment that GNAT-TV does called Kaleidoscope. They got to experience what it's like to be doing a live show with a director (Garrett) calling shots from the production room. They were the operators for 2 shows - and they did a great job. Here are a few pictures of the action. :o)
